Cargo Shorts: A 90s epidemic that won't fade away

I have never owned a pair of cargo shorts, or if I did don't remember them. In fact, I don't wear shorts period. I'm a jeans guy. Whether it's 10 degrees or 100 degrees outside.

Cargo shorts I'm fine with - can ensure I've got a pocket for everything I need on a weekend - wallet, phone, key, screwdriver, socket wrench & sockets, bottle opener, donut. But manpris, those are the fashion items that deserve your contempt. As evidenced by this 2008 article, they've been insidiously finding their way into our culture for a long while http://theineptowl.com/2008/11/05/researchers-concerned-manpris-activity/">http://theineptowl.com/2008/11/05/researchers-concerned-manpris-activity/

:-D Same here. I love my 5.11 shorts. They do a great job with my Sig and/or M&P. ;-)

Before kids, I was happy with two pockets, but that was also pre-smart phone days. Now my pocket knife wreaks havoc on my the edges of my phone. I need that one additional front pocket and 5.11 has provided. Plus they "fit my ass" which is very much a literal statement since many pants cannot.
Anyway, the "manpris" analysis is spot on! They are a blight. Not as bad as visible underwear and "horizontal smiles", but on the same slovenly, sloppy level as jorts, skinny pants and flip-flops with pants. I had a neighbor that wore manpris and I thought him to be highly suspect until I found out he was from Holland.

dont let your guard down just because of the whole Euro card. If the #Brexit campaign had been run on keeping manpris out of the UK, I'd have been there shoulder to shoulder with Boris & Nigel

No 'stache! I have at least 6 cargo shorts in my chest of drawers now. I've been wearing them since the 90's and I'm 51 now. Cargo shorts and pique polo shirts. Sue me. I'm from the 80's. At least I don't pop my collar.
Manpris. I fly photo survey. My camera operator earlier this year was French. He went out in manpris. And Birkenstocks. It was embarrassing.
I don't care if Mr. Gunn thinks they're awful. They're practical and I look damn good in them. (You may disagree but that's fine.)
Now...where did I put my sock ties???

Not having my wallet implanted into my buttocks (cheek) is a great benefit of cargo shorts. I have many and buy more, nice to not have everything I am carrying placed into two or three bulky heat spots on my body.

There is no such thing as "MANpris."
