This is pretty interesting in that he shows the various methods he used to get the old paint of the deck (power washer, sander, etc.), and which one worked best.

That is some great detail work and a whole lot of it. My knees can feel it just looking at the pictures.

Looks great! Might have to get one of those sander + vacuum tools, looks like it would save a lot of headache

It is the biggest PITA that I have ever taken on. I love doing things myself, building stuff, fixing things, but painting is something I hate. The real story is I could not find a painter who would do it. They either thought it was too much trouble or just would not show up.

Thanks! A deep wrap around porch was a 'must have' when we built the place. No matter what time of year we can enjoy it.

Now that's a full weekend of work! I could not do it without knee pads at my age. Did you intentionally set up cameras or are those in place for security?

I have a little Go Pro Session that I moved around. Security/trail cameras I have out on our property (14 acres of woods and pond) but just have not gotten around to it yet. Deer hunters wander through and do night/flashlight hunting even though there are a number of signs. And yeah I paid for the most expensive knee pads I could find.
