This is more of trying to capture the Christian movie goer. The problem is when they do like many of the recent rip offs they always mess it up. They tell it from the perspective of what they think Christians want to see and not genuine perspective.

I thought the same thing. I guess nobody is creative enough to write new material so they have to rehash (and typically ruin) the classics.

Judging from the trailer, the amount of Christian schlock tends to sour any anticipation I might have had about this remake.

This trailer seemed to show the film in a completely different light. It is interesting what some editing can reveal or conceal.
