Well that would take entirely too long with wasted effort and materials, but the author did claim to work hard at being lazy. One shovel and ten minutes would have solved his "problem".
seems like a lost of wasted work. I have had to do this. I just wrapped a chain around the post and used a Farm Jack to lift the chain. Post pop right out. i did an acre worth of fence in a couple hours.

Okay, so you don't dig but you do have to build a fulcrum which is where I was guessing it would go. Seems like a lot of work to avoid a lot of work.
