Loved that....it suddenly occurs to me that the hours of Doom2 in my younger years could explain my otherwise inexplicable draw to the shotgun. There is literally no other explanation I can come up with...perhaps it's also that a chain gun, dog, plasma gun and BFG aren't as readily available.

For me, it all started with Wolfenstein 3D. Then on to Doom. So many wasted hours yet good memories.
