As a firm believer in the God of the Bible I have always welcomed scientific research, understanding that new evidence would further reveal the Creator. The design, purpose, and complexity of life and the universe cannot be explained by chance encounters. Furthermore, the idea of the universe somehow being aware of itself before creating itself through an explosion which created order (while all other explosions create chaos), seems not just unlikely but downright absurd. Good post.
I believe in the existence of a God/Creator and a spiritual element of our existence and I believe in science as a medium of understanding and governing the universe in which we live. I also don't think we are capable of understanding or grasping the complexity of either.
