I hope it pops, cable is so overpriced its ridiculous. We dropped cable about 6 months ago and haven't looked back. When it's a la carte, I'll think about it again, until then, i'm not paying that much money for crappy channels like espn and mtv that NEVER get watched in our house. Thanks Zombie Cat Bacon for letting me rant...I feel better now.
We've been testing Roku at our house and like it so far. Between that and an HD antenna for local channels, we can have all of the TV we need (which is very little) for a fraction of the cost of cable.

We use an Roku3 box and are happy with it. Best $99 investment I've made. Turned off cable almost three years ago and I rarely miss it.

We use a Roku for Netflix and Hulu Plus for about a fifth of the cost of basic cable.
