I think the guy in the video misses the point, or at least is over thinking it. If the second amendment were about the right of the militia it would have said "the right of the militia to bear arms."
Excellent point. I think his intentions were good but lacking in explanation. Probably because he gets less than five minutes on a localized news station.
It comes from the natural right to self preservation. In my mind, the most basic of rights. But I appreciate the argument he is making and I believe he means well.
