Cool idea, but there's no way I'd give any money to the campaign until I see a working model. With Kickstarter they have no obligation to actually provide a working product when you fund them.
The geek in me thinks this is awesome, but the pragmatist predicts a shitty product getting put out while these guys laugh their way to the bank.
