Feeding a Wild Snake by Hand
Posted by Razorback from www.youtube.com
For the record, that is a Northern Diamond-backed Watersnake, which is not venomous. I still do not recommend feeding them by hand.

There's something about training snakes to go to the humans for food that seems like a bad idea...

Reptiles are a lot smarter than we give 'em credit for. I had desert tortoise who passed the bar exam (that's a joke, I had one but he gave up after failing it seven times) and an Arkansas box turtle (named Beaky, the desert tortoise was of course Tuffy) who would come up to the sliding glass door begging for some banana. Of course neither of these are to be confused with the California Dessert Tortoise http://www.polyvore.com/california_dessert_tortoise/set?id=57322423">http://www.polyvore.com/california_dessert_tortoise/set?id=57322423 The End.

You know what I really hate? When the darn thing is rattling and you can't seem to locate him.

That's cool, because I feed wild snakes by hand too...with a Taurus Judge.
