I have to admit that I agree with this rant.

When I cook home fries at home, in order to get them delicious, I have to limit how many I put in the pan at any one time, and then turn them each individually to ensure that each side of the potato is crisp and golden brown. They also only have a very short window where they are crunchy and fantastic, measured in minutes, before they lapse into limp, wrinkled steamy dishevelment.

Just give us back our hash browns!
