That is some slick writing, blending fantasy and reality seamlessly. I can't wait till it gets picked up by 9/11 conspiracy theorists and put forward as a well-researched theory.
So basically, if I understand this correctly, George W. Bush stranded Marty McFly in the past. He then used Robert Zemeckis to plan the attacks on 9/11 because he knows Zemeckis views Stanley Kubrick as a direct threat. And Zemeckis believed that the attacks would destroy Kubrick's homage to the monolith adjacent to Ground Zero...... Seems legit.
