2 sentences in that article? Did I miss something? I am a strong believer that if the majority of these people had a strong father figure or mentor from an early age this would not happen so frequently.
Both of these comments are correct IMO... However, another major aspect is the fact that these type of mass shootings where soft targets are sought simply for easiest body counts, only started once we stopped institutionalizing people in society.
Yeah we had gangland shootings before from the tommy-gun 20's era... but before we released crazy people into the world, no one could even conceive of the concept of shooting up a school for no reason.
I agree with all the above ; plus it should probably be noted that A) these all happen in areas where you aren't supposed to have weapons(so they know they'll be up against unarmed victims) and B) public education has been pushing the theory of evolution for so long(I don't want to get started too far on that topic, but compare it to actual science, mathematical probability, and the laws of thermodynamics and it can be discarded quickly), and that has to have some influence as well(you know, claiming that everyone and everything is purely accidental, and that there is absolutely no purpose to life, which can all combine to give a lack of morals and understanding of consequences if the logic is followed out has to have some sort of an effect on psychological health). Just my two cents :D

I think the real lethal weapon starts with an uncaring heart and the need to blame others for one's own messed up life.
