Actually no. Paleo is a very simple way to reduce caloric intake. You give up processed foods and stuff like that. Now I will admit that some people go a bit crazy over it, but the idea works. My wife lost about 50 lbs with ease, and that's the point. The article lies about a number of things, like eating crazy amounts of whatever. You just eat some more veg and less bread. You can lose weight without starving to death. Paleo is just a framework for changing your eating habits and making them healthier.
First, if any sort of diet gets you to change for the better it is a great diet no matter the name. Second, this is darn funny. I am not a Paleo dieter but have friends who are and it seems to be the second generation of the Atkins. But I also have found that the friends that I do know are on the Paleo diet kinda skip the no alcohol portion and/or not strict observers.
