This is absolutely fantastic. It's awesome that she started her own blog in response to crappy blogs like this. "If a third grader can't prounounce it don't eat it." Is pseudo science at its worst.
My favorite part was where she correlates Gawker's (as a for-profit company) minimum spend of $25k to promote a sponsored article to its audience, AND SciBabe's being an author who is paid for her work to mean that the petrochemical industry paid Gawker $25k to have a discredited scientist attack Food Babe.
I KNOW! Like she isn't paid every time she makes a public appearance and hasn't made a crap ton of cash off her book. The author is already getting death threats from Food Babe's fans. Gotta love the interwebs!

Exactly. Just try to get a third grader to pronounce "foie gras", "prosciutto", "wagyu beef", or "Jagermeister jigglers". No thank you!
I'm not letting my diet get dictated by some little kid (or deceitful broad, for that matter.)

If you ask me, it seems that she's using the same tactics Science Babe was accusing her of using against critics.

Her response is basically that she is a nice person and the author of the other article used to work for a company she doesn't like. Pretty lame.

Doesn't sound tin foil hatty to me at all!

I don't often read Elle, but when I do, this is the kind of article I like to see!
