Reminds me of the old Nickerson Farm service stations along the interstate. They had a beehive with a plexiglass cover so you could watch the bees, no spigot though.
So I have shown this and in inquired about this with a few friends and neighbors (almost everyone on my street has bee hives, I live in the country). All of them have said this will not work. There are a number of issues that they cannot reconcile on how bees create and maintain their hive. As soon as I have some more details I will update. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :-(

Thanks for sharing and good timing. We are about to invest in keeping bees and this sounds like a great idea!
