In the US we (still) have the ability to take our children's education into our own hands and provide sometimes affordable private/charter schools along with homeschooling. I am a product of public schools. But today in the US the public schools have become a dumping land for the worst offenders, illegal children (you do not dare ask if a child is here legally or not), and special needs students (in reality or not). I am sure other countries do not deal with the issues that public schools in the US deal with.

It would be interesting to see the family data on the children that drop out. Where is the family values placed?
