So for the low low price of $35K plus, I can get a car that will go 50 miles? Wow. What a great deal for people who are bad at math. Good luck stopping in for a recharge to get back home.
We should clarify as this video is actually a follow up from a prior article. We do not work for GM and have no affiliation with them. This car is actually a plug in and gas vehicle. The vehicle used to run for 40 miles before using any gas and now they have extended it to 50 before using the gas. I apologize as the article that goes with this video isn't showing that information here and that could be misleading. Thank you, so I don't make that mistake again.
I have similar feelings about the volt. It was a car that KBB offered up as a fourth comparison option when I was shopping for a hybrid commuter car. I did a comparison between Honda, Toyota and Ford models. Thw Volt was reviewed horribly, was priced much higher and didn't offer features the other cars did. Settled on a Ford Fusion and I literally get 41 mpg with a car that has a luxury feel....and I still didn't pay as much as a Volt costs! Anytime I see a Volt on the road, I just look at the driver and wish I could ask "why?".
