Considering trying to grow some of my own tobacco as a hobby. specifically for a tobacco pipe, not cigars. Anyone have any luck or resources they want to share?

As someone that has moved into 'tobacco country' it is not as easy as it seams. It is not like growing tomatoes or corn. It seems relatively easy to grow but the harvesting and drying is tricky. I am sure this book may be a great source.

i live west of nashville and tried growing some tobacco this year. no luck really. we will try again next year.
