I agree with your sentiments and that would be ideal. Unfortunately in some states there are military members forced to endure the bat crap craziness of state laws they have no voting influence over. (At least there are ways around the state income tax structure...I wish there were ways around the repressive gun laws of "progressive" states).

Let's get right to the point; stupid politicians and voters! Maybe the politicians aren't so stupid. They want to keep "normalizing" a group of voters who are used to corrupt leadership.
Good for you. I experienced it because I had to. Thankfully up around Yuba City in a military friendly community, people were great...laws sucked but being in the company of others who acknowledge the ridiculousness of the situation seems to help. Hope you are enjoying it in a more reasonable state.

This is interesting but I think a pump AR10 might be more effective. Might be better if it comes with "slam fire" feature, a la Winchester 1897.
