Something tells me this isn't what the prof would want to show his students as an example of effective ROI. His time must certainly be worth more than stretching this out as long as he did.
He has a point though. He called the restaurant on it's lazy, bait-and-switch BS. Advertising one price and charging a higher one is not legal, and updating a website is not hard.
I would agree with the professor up to a point. The restaurant needed to be called out, and perhaps even reported. But his handling of the situation revealed him to be a jerk.
