Can't get through to Federalist Papers but I can guess all the usual claptrap. Even Jimmy Fallon chimed in on Twitter. Next she will be "a self-hating Oreo." A simple "congratulations" would be nice.

I couldn't get through either, but here is a link to a different rundown of what I'm pretty sure is the same story...and yeah, there are some mental gymnastics going on here...

Oh, frak! Yup, here we go. Oreo; black on the outside and white on the inside. She takes Sarah Palin's place as Most Hated Deserter Of A Protected Group. That's not allowed, you know.

Smith writes. “For example, blacks are not doing well with respect to education, economics and health outcomes, while women still trail behind in salary [not true] and significant positions of power, and conservative politics are not typically known to aid these groups in such key issues..."
Except, in this case, a black, Hatian, female was given a position of power by conservative politics so that seems to be a self refuting statement. Do these folks not read their own writing?

Federalist Papers: "She wasn’t swept into office by a black electorate that votes skin color; she was elected because voters felt she was the best person to represent them."
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
