Made from American hickory to hold its flex, GrayBear’s limited edition axes breathe new life into the almost-extinct art of tool decoration. Each axe’s phenomenally strong, slightly curved head has been hand forged by Swedish company Hults Bruks (who have been making axe heads this way since 1697) and has a carefully tempered blade edge to allow both powerful, full swing chopping and nimble carving. Protected by a custom made, double-welted leather sheath studded with metal rivets, this axe has been designed to do its duty with integrity while still being beautiful enough to hang above the fireplace.
