To be fair, I think most people have heard of this by now.
I think there's a more serious issue going on here, regardless of whether or not you believe there's misogyny in videogames. People need to realize that just like anything else, there's a bigger picture behind most negative interactions; this is just a branch among other branches connect to a singular core, and it's very possible that it doesn't even originate in the gaming community, it just fuels it. No doubt this very same core has outlets in other online communities.
We really need to get our acts together and figure out ways to deal with issues like these, and others, regardless of which gender is being attacked. Because it sure as hell won't stop here.
