Interesting idea and I hope they do well. The only problem I see is the feature of the octagon sides. As someone who cooks a lot and cooks often with an iron skillet and large cooking pans I often interchange the lids. A standard 12" lid will not work on this. I learned this the hard way when I bought a Mauveil copper pan that is "French" in sizing. I have to buy a special lid just for it.
I do see the inconvenience of lids not being interchangeable but I do like the idea of being able to pour out that bacon grease from any of the 6 sides. With these skillets looks like the only option is to purchase their custom fit lids. Maybe that was part of the master plan :)
