Lorena Turner is a social scientist with a camera. In her work she creates indexes of contemporary social experience and searches for secret histories in objects and places. Her projects are primarily photo based, but she can use text to help her images tell their stories. Her work is shown both nationally and internationally in venues as diverse as the United Nations headquarters in New York City, the Arc Light Theater in Hollywood and the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art.
