Markus Studtmann is a fine art photographer and psychologist living and working in Berlin, Germany. He studied philosophy, psychology and neurobiology at Bielefed university and holds a Ph.D. in psychology. He worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Greifswald and the Max Plax Planck Institute of Human Development in Berlin, where he was also a member of the art committee. His research is focussed on the perception and facial expression of emotions and has been presented on many international conferences and published in scientific journals and books.
