Born in Moscow, Artem Zhitenev was introduced to photography by his father, a professional photographer. Since the 1990’s he has worked as both a freelance and staff photographer for various Russian newspapers and magazines. But his personal passion is street photography. He loves to walk the pavement, where he can snatch slices of life from the city’s lively bustle. Sometimes he projects a charming personality, while at other times he prefers to remain an invisible presence. Both strategies are crucial tools , helping him to capture unique moments.
