Ben Altman trained as an artist by studying Physics at University College London, towing icebergs, racing sailboats, and working as a commercial photographer. After twenty-five years in Chicago he now lives in rural upstate New York. In addition to photography he works with sound, installation, assemblage, video, participation and a collective.
