The news lately always seems to feature a story about a corporation or individual getting hacked. Hacking can feel almost unavoidable in this day and age. Hackers are very vocal and active all over the world, they are highly organized and quickly adapt to new technologies and security measures. Thursday, July 25, 2013 marked the trial of the largest hacking and data breach case in U.S. history. The New York Times reported that federal prosecutors charged five people with running an organization responsible for the hacking of more than a dozen corporations’ computer networks. This group stole and sold at least 160 million credit and debit card numbers.
