Advances in computer technology allow our children to utilize new resources. However, these advances also leave them vulnerable to harmful online content and cyberbullies. Check out this article for some useful tips on what steps to take when you allow your kids to surf the web.
According to a study, kids start using the Internet at the average age of three. Unfortunately, the same study reveals that parents are rarely aware of their children’s internet activity. Another study states that 30 percent of 12 to 15 year-olds are "online friends" with people they never actually met in real life, while only 43 percent of parents with children aged 5 to 15 have any filters in place on the family PC or laptop. This lack of oversight is extremely dangerous – parents must learn more about Internet safety and constantly educate themselves in order to keep their kids safe online.
