Most dads are known for being laconic, slow to anger and serious individuals. This is most probably the reason for why this prominent figure of the family has had the honor of having a chair named after him – the dad’s chair. The dad’s chair has evolved throughout the years and documented through the help of sitcoms and television shows. Even the scary dons like Don Vito Corleone had a special chair for which they would brood in and then slowly, but clearly, dole out wise pieces of advice to young eager ears. Back in the 50’s, the fathers who graced sitcoms had reign over the living room recliner and from then on, the former became known as the dad chair. However, the dad chair has taken a couple of forms in the past years.
