I'm glad I read all the way through it. I kept thinking "This guy is dreaming. That isn't how the White House works, he just wishes it was!" So then I got to the bottom and yeah, that's the point.
What about the fact that the prisoner swap done without Congress is illegal? Will the President be held to the law on that?

Has he ever been held accountable for any other infraction? I'll venture a guess that until the majority if the media (fox. & cnn and one or two of the networks because NBC and it's sister won't) puts forth a consistent drum beat for impeachment, nothing will happen. That's the only reason I miss Bush; then there was constant media awareness being made of his administrations faults and stumbles. Just my $0.02 and my opinion is much like my lower intestine: stinky and full of danger.

Well said Chet. I think it is better that there is an adversarial relationship between the government and the media and W certainly fostered that. The media seems to just love Obama and so won't hold him accountable.

BenEspen, I share your sentiments and wish this could have happened in a radically different way. This creates the expectation that one of our soldiers will secure the release of their guys & is SO FREAKING dangerous! I am so much more concerned for my friends and family when they go over there now....and they are acutely aware of this as well. Anyway...
