Aldous Huxley made this prediction in 1961 (I believe). Is it possibly coming to pass?

Well, the legalization of weed in the US is a step down a slippery slope. The more we don't give a shit, the more the govt will take our shit. Alcohol is subsidized in the military. Why do you think that is...?
