So, the hose needs to be straight they say, but doesn't it look nearly kinked shut where it's pressing against the door?

I saw that too but when I looked at another photo on a different site, it was only kinked minimally. However, it almost looks like they could have extended the hose behind the car since that was the direction it needed to go. Regardless, one of my pet peeves is people who park illegally so I am kinda glad that some justice was served.
