Well, sitting for 8-10 hour shifts is not that good if you like to maintain an energetic lifestyle. The Stand Desk started as a Kickstarter project and raised its goal in minutes, meaning there is a definite demand for this idea. The Stand Desk ($389+) is tall enough that you have to stand to type and work at it. Coming in some slick designs, this is a great idea that we are interested in seeing more of, and if you do get a little tired you can pull up a stool and sit too.
