I was always partial to Galaxy anyways. 10 meter SSB, peaked, tuned, linear amp, Astatic mic, and a trusty Wilson. They never failed me. Overkill for a car? Maybe, but I never got walked on ;)

Galaxy always did have a nice sound.... Cobra always has made a solid radio for basic never really had much range with out changing the finals and completely Frankensteining it

Galaxy have always been up with the greats for me and the only CB maker who now produce a widely available true CB base station (Galaxy DX-2547).
