Video interviews are gaining popularity, and for good reason. Here’s how they can help optimize your business’s hiring methods.
Until recently, the hiring process had been largely unchanged for decades. If you wanted a job, you simply filled out an application and asked for an interview. Then, the advent of the internet brought with it exciting new possibilities for hiring personnel. The video interview is a great example. For human resources reps, the benefits of using video interviews are obvious: they’re cost-effective, reviewable, and can be conducted anywhere. Still, some companies are hesitant to adopt this process, particularly smaller companies, which might see video interviews as too expensive. Or – if they’re only hiring a handful of employees a year – maybe they don’t see a need to revamp their hiring process. Whatever their reasons, I’m here to argue that businesses of all sizes can greatly benefit by incorporating video interviews.
