I wrestled throughout my entire scholastic career, and I have been an avid runner as well. I have always said that I was more tired at the end of 6 minutes of wrestling than I was at the end of any of my marathons, and that being in wrestling shape is far superior to bring in ruining shape. I had never seen this quote, but I never doubted my wisdom. Now I can say that it's the wisdom of Socrates.

I do however, doubt the accuracy of my auto-spell.

Similarly to you, I was both a runner and a wrestler (along with Cross Country and Basketball) and some of my track records still stand 10 years later. I totally agree-I don't think I will ever be in as good of shape as I was after a full season of wrestling practices. I miss it dearly....

And because I've never finished a race with the feeling that I've either just dominated, or had my ass handed to me. I have finished matches experiencing both.
