Man vs. Beartrap
Posted by Razorback from www.youtube.com
The only thing that comes to mind is, "Hey, hold my beer and watch this." Well, that and "what a dumbass."

I spent the entire first half of the video thinking "no, he wouldn't be that stupid."
As Larry the Cable Guy would say, "Here's yer sign!"

As someone that works in public safety, this guy is why I have a job. Thanks to vapid stupidity like this, there will never be layoffs in my sector. The guy with the mic missed a golden opportunity to turn investigative reporter and ask, "What did you think was going to happen?"

Do we have any context as to why he did this? I mean, seriously. To do something this insanely stupid would require a copious amount of alcohol, the promise of a large sum of money and a night with the newly crowned Miss Universe in a pent house suite.

Oh, ye of little exposure to humanity...you doubt the power of common, base stupidity - which needs no incentive to grease the gears of its own dark, profoundly stupid motivation. To stupid people, thirty thousand dollars is "plenty" to justify bathing in excrement on national television and eating the pickled phallus of a pig. One thing I have learned from my life's experiences: never doubt the power of stupidity. While alcohol aids stupidity in its battle to overcome common sense, it is not always required. As for money? A trifle or a pittance is more than enough, because at the end of the day, you can "brag" to your buddies about the insanely stupid thing you did for, say, a hundred bucks. When I'm on-duty and taking 911 emergency calls, believe me, each call reminds me that the power of stupid should never be underestimated...

Most of comment was tongue-in-cheek. I agree with your reply except for the assumption of my inadequate exposure to everyday human stupidity. Those 911 calls you take while on duty? I'm the guy in the ER who treats and admits those blue ribbon Darwin Award winners ;)
