The trouble with allowing people with more money than brains to have major input on the design of their home is that they usually "personalize" it to the point of ending up too weird to be easily resold. We see a few almost every house hunting trip we take, two on the last one couple of weeks ago. One was a total waste of the best lot in a very nice development. Almost brand new yet they will have a heck of a time unloading it. It's very sad. The moral is: it you're going to override every suggestion your architect makes, don't get a divorce three years later.
