Interesting that all the folks in this video would be classified as liberals. While I agree with what they're saying I find it ironic that they lay the blame on a Republican President who served nearly 40 years ago via images of Richard Nixon without showing the faces of the current administration that is overseeing the current violation of our right to privacy. Now why would that be???
Behind every PR piece there's an agenda. However, I think they're showing Nixon as he resigned over the same type of thing, only the NSA thing is a million times worse. You're right though, they should have put the blame where it belongs. By doing what they did they really watered down the meaning of their effort.
PR piece...excellent description. Like I said, I agree with their assessments but I have to wonder if this anger is somehow another way to point a finger at the Right? IOW...are they using a legitimate argument to further their own agenda? I'd say yes. And it's a shame they have to fall to that level. I truly think if Barack Obama walked up to them, slapped them in the face, stole their wallet, got on their computer and downloaded their hard drive they'd still blame Bush, Reagan and Rush Limbaugh.
From my perspective, I didn't see them attacking a single political party, rather they focused on the issue of the NSA itself. Granted Nixon was shown for a historical context, but I think it's obvious that this invasion of privacy has been going on for at least the last decade.
The only agenda I see, is the agenda to stop the NSA snooping.
