I don't believe a lot this. We feed our dog raw sometimes. LIVE/UNCOOKED meaty bones have actually been really good for her. She's a five year old BC mix and people constantly comment that she's still a puppy. And yes, we even give her whole raw chicken legs. (The cooking is what makes them splinter, but it also takes the nutritional value out of it). Prior to that doing so, we also minced up a clove of garlic daily, which was fine for her. The other stuff we've avoided but most of what will kill dental hygiene for dogs is that they don't chew live meaty bones anymore.

UGH!!! I just made a large batch of bacon wrapped grapes dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with cheese and espresso beans.
