Of all the things I've heard about this topic, this is my personal favorite. "Because of the past history of oppression, segregation, corruption, and ugly bigotry associated with the name, the Washington Redskins are changing their name to:
North Virginia Redskins."

The bottom line here is that people actively seek out ways to be offended.
