Or, if ever in the Barancas del Cobre mountains in Mexico, you could have a Tarahumara carve a real pair for you for $10. They took my foot, traced it on a piece of old tire, and when I came back from eating he had me a pair with leather straps that you wrap around your foot & ankle. Wish I still had'em.
There's also Vivo running sandals…look a little goofier but our executive officer is a long distance runner and loves them…now that he's run over a hundred miles in them...

I have a pair of the Osos and love em. I was looking for an alternative to Chacos because they are so dang heavy. I use my Lunas when I am rafting.
