Data shows global temperatures aren't rising the way climate scientists have predicted. Now the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change faces a problem: publicize these findings and encourage skeptics -- or hush up the figures.
For a quarter of a century now, environmental activists have been issuing predictions in the vein of the Catholic Church, warning people of the coming greenhouse effect armageddon. Environmentalists bleakly predict global warming will usher in plagues of biblical dimensions -- perpetual droughts, deluge-like floods and hurricanes of unprecedented force.

If global warming is slowing, that's good news for everyone. Note in the article, that it is not the scientists that are facing a crisis (they're reporting on their data, and have been for years), it is the politicized entities related to climate change. But, I think the follow up question is this:
Is the global temperature data only considered reliable by the "skeptics" when it fits their viewpoint?

Could a better question be this? Ok, we were wrong, the world is potentially not coming to a catastrophic end because of anthropogenic climate change, sorry for the misrepresentation of science in our political agenda, but, can we continue to work towards sustainable, clean energy, and how best do we do this?

If it is, or if it isn't, is not as important as the true solution, which happens to be the same solution to almost all of our other problems: personal responsibility, not political agendas.
Stop throwing money at people to fix it (or receiving others money), and fix yourself first...(AlGore).
And....I'm done.
