I hear such good things about these (recall not withstanding) that I'd love to try one out. Unfortunately, the XD line has the Trigger Of Death for me. That Glock-style blade safety causes a trigger pull I just can't get used to. I had a Glock 19 for many years I could never shoot worth a darn and then, just because I felt the need to compound my error, I went out and bought a Ruger SR9c with the same trigger and the same results. I see no reason to try this experiment again. I'm loving my S&W M&P 9c, my cousin's M&P Shield (again, not withstanding *their* recall) and so, if I decide I need something full-sized I'm going M&P.
