A city in decline, Detroit has suffered from long-term old school thinking and the twin-bugbear of poor political and business thinking. Sure, General Motors still stands tall and defiant on the shore of the Detroit River, but the truth is, the rest of the city has suffered for an over-reliance on one industry.
And over-reliance that has seen one of the most beautiful buildings within its citylimits, turned into a PARKING LOT. Saying that you're "driving to the theatre" has taken on a new meaning for residents.
