Is this the super-sexy, ultra-expensive dream model? You can spend a ridiculous amount of money for any of a number of brands, including Vortex's own Razor HD line. No, this one is very affordable. And a very excellent performer. The "for the rest of us" model. For under $200 you get a crystal clear sight picture. And at 1.75-2x power you can throw it up to your eye and not have to worry about focus at any distance and the eye relief is very forgiving. It's getting close to hunting season and this little baby might just do almost everything you want at an incredibly reasonable price. Second choice: if you really feel like you need to reach out a little farther try the same item in the 2-7x. I don't have experience with that second choice but I am very much liking the 1.75-5x. While it's quite lovely on my FNH XP, I may throw this one on my .300 BLK and snap up the 2-7x for the FNH. Quite a beauty!
