Since Carbon-14 dating is only accurate to about 70,000 years, they probably used radiometric techniques.

Hello Razorback, my comment above was a poor attempt at humor. I do believe what the Bible says about creation so of course I don't buy into anything being more than about 6000 years old. I probably should not have been sarcastic about the matter.
